Join Stokes Nature Center and the Bear River Land Conservancy in a search for a rare and threatened species of orchid, the Ute Ladies' Tresses Orchid (Spiranthes diluvialis) at the Mendon Meadow Preserve. We will be learning about this elusive native flower and then participating in a survey of the preserve to help track and document changes in the orchid population from year to year. Last year, volunteers observed 129 orchids during a 6-week citizen science project. This event is suitable for all ages.
