Schiess Easement
We are proud to conserve and protect working farms and ranches in Northern Utah. Working agricultural lands have been a core part of Cache Valley’s culture since the arrival of pioneers in the mid-1800’s. These lands provide the food, open space, and scenic views which give Cache Valley its sense of place.
As development pressure increases and farms give way to subdivisions, we are always eager to work with landowners like Boyd and Sheri Schiess who completed a voluntary conservation easement on their 25.5 acres in Nibley.
“We’d like to keep this green,” said Sheri. “We might be the last little green piece, and it’s so beautiful. There’s not a prettier view.”
Future generations residing in Nibley and Cache Valley will benefit from this project, as will birds and other wildlife which reside in the area.
